Do you agree with killing sharks only to keep human lifes' safe?

I think sharks should only be killed on an individual basis if the shark decides to set up it's snack shop at a marina; it's a pure waste of life for 'shark-hunters' to go out on a boat miles from any coast, chum the waters to get sharks into a frenzy, then to kill them.It makes these 'hunters' no better than snipers, and I personally find no sport nor reason for it.
