Salvia..My experience was weird to say the least.?

I tried Salvia for the first time last night, I read up about it first. I boought it at a local store, kinda pricey. Anyways, I took one hit and like many of the sites said you are supose to take a huge hit and hold for as long as you can..and first of all it tasted pretty bad..so I held it in for a few and then exhaled. I felt a little weird but nothing too bad. So then I packed another and took a few more hits..I started feeling a more weird so I went outside to get some air..a guy came out with me, whom I did not meet till last night..and he asked me if he wanted me to pack another..I said sure, so I took three or four more. And after that, I was really tripping. everything was distorted and in waves of color. And from that moment on out was a blur, I think I even had more after and then mixed it with some cush. But it is still a blur even now, the next morning. I drove home, and got lost and kept going in and out of reality. Tell me about your experiences..and/or if mine was normal
